Creative spring writing

Today in class we have been doing creative writing. We had to write a sentence about this picture. As a class we chose the sentence we liked to best and then added to it. Here is my sentence and the sentence I added to.

This oak tree grows in the chilly air with the shining bright light in the sky of spring.

Under the oak tree I kicked back on the Mountain from a view, chill going down your spine, the bright sun light on you. I relax watching the children playing in the sand. Me on the tree with an awesome view of spring.

Museum

Last week we went to the museum here is my recount story and my paragraph rubric.

Yesterday Class 6, 7, 8 and some Adults went to the museum. We learnt about Maori culture. We learnt maori songs and actions.

In the Volcano room Ava’s group and Ms Berrys group went inside of the house. We sat down and watched the New’s. Miss Berry said it was her house with an awesome view.

Our group went to the war room. We looked at the gun’s. We went on computers. We searched for people that died in the war. Jonlee found his great Granddad that went to war.

All of us had a good time at the museum. Ava’s group was fun. We learnt about people that went to the war. If you like to search up your great Granddad you should go.

sunk by a Whale

In 1820  there was a ship named Essex and a crew the captain was selling out to the Pacific Ocean.

The crew hunted down a Whale it’s name was MobyDick It was a big fat white Whale.

MobyDick was 32 meters it is 3 class away.

MobyDick took down the Essex ship it had hit it in the head 2 times and the ship sunk by a Whale.

The Crew had shot Owen coffin and had ate him because they had nothing to eat.  

Finally a ship came and saved the 20 survivors.

  

The Endeavour

In our days we could travel for 2 days but in 1768 there was a ship called the Endeavour. Did you know that James cook was traveling around the world for 3 years. In 1768 Captain cook traveled from England to New Zealand.

My Mum and Nan

My Nan is So special because she bakes cakes for us.

No one messes with her she is tough like are gorilla not like she's got muscles it’s like when she’s just strong smart and any other thing. I Love my nan and she loves me too even if she gets a wooden spoon.

My Mum is So special Because she gives me money when I do jobs. And I Get go to the libre to play games then I have to come back home and do the dishes. She gets grumpy when we do the wrong thing like when you have to clean the room you just go off to school. 

My Sister

My Sister Te Roimata is alight she is 14 years old. She is  so lazy when my nan says go and do the dishes she acts like she’s sleeping in bed and when she got told to go hang up the clothes she goes of to the toilet .She is lazy but I still like her.

Supertanker

Supertankers are so long it is 4 rugby fields long and it takes 10cl to stop. Super tankers are used to carry crude oil. And i think they're the biggest boats in the world. And they ride bikes up and down the ship.

And they ride bikes or motorbike to get to another place and back. And do you know that Supertankers a bigger than islands.

Matiu Kayaking

My first day at camp of 2014. There was a double kayak and a single kayak. In the double kayak with me was Christian. In the other double kayak was me Rowana. When i had a single kayak i went around the boy which was red and we went around twice and then we paddle back to the shore. Most of the kids had a swim in the salt water but didnt because it look like dirty water.
